iTunes U is a specialised area of the Apple iTunes store that allows Higher Education institutions to make audio and visual content available for download and subscription. In order to take advantage of iTunes U, users must first have iTunes installed on their computer. iTunes is available for both Mac OS X and Windows operating systems. iTunes U offers the advantage that users can listen or view a piece of content on their computer, or on the go by synchronising with their mobile device (such as an iPod) or iPad.

In future, I wish to see Assumption College is one of sources on iTunes HiSchool.
ReplyDeleteSounds good ^___^
This helps answer my question on the older post. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like it would be great for increasing revenue for Universities interested in sharing special lectures or for use in their e-learning programs. Are these the typical uses? Or are there others?
Hi Suttah.
ReplyDeleteYou've peaked my interest in iTunes U. So, I just went out explore this site a bit more. Apparently, many universities use iTunes U to provide lectures, etc. externally and/or internally to defined audiences (i.e., the university issuing the content or other specified institutions). Addtionally, the website leads you to believe that viewing university content is free. What an incredible resource. I'll look forward to seeing Assumption College on the site. It will remind me of this course and all of the new learning resources we're learning about...like iTunes U.
